Please read all of the information here before you fill in your application. The form will be closed 2025-12-07 23:59 CET and allocation will be communicated 2026-01-13 or earlier.

If you have received a spot that requires payment, a corresponding ticket MUST be bought at the Kippu Store that will be linked in the information email before 2026-01-18 23:59 CET. Anyone who fails to do so will lose their spot and it will be given to someone else.

There are ~50 tables available in total. Do note that nothing is different with the tables themselves, it's just pricing, location and selection criteria that's different.

If multiple applications are made by the same person, only the last one sent in will be considered.

Commercial/Full Price (10 tables): 2 500 sek

In order to facilitate professional artists and make it easier for them to consistently attend our events, tables in this category will be given out to those we believe will have the most commercial success. The goal of this category is to reach professional sellers. All tables of this category will be in room D129 at NärCon Vinter.

Community/Discounted Price (~35 tables): 849 sek

This is the by far biggest category and is aimed at community creators who are not working as artists full time. Tables will be awarded on quality of art and we will try to create a broad spectrum of styles and subjects in order to make visiting Artist Alley a good experience for all con-goers. This is for all intents and purposes your standard Artist Alley offering and tables will be spread through all the rooms hosting the Artist Alley by random chance.

Rookie/Free (5 tables): 0 sek

Being a new or young artist can be challenging and we want to make it easier for new people to try out doing an Artist Alley table and seeing if this is something they want to continue doing. Tables in this category will be given out to those who are attending their first Artist Alley at NärCon, or to young artists who are not yet professionals. The goal is to create an entry point for new and exciting people who wouldn't have the opportunity to try out Artist Alley otherwise and who will, possibly, become regular features at community or even commercial tables going forward. All tables of this category will be in room D123 at NärCon Vinter.

You may apply to as many categories as you like! Note that the selection criteria differ from category to category, so for each category your portfolio will be viewed under a different lens and might do better or worse. Anyone who applied to a category will be considered when that category is being chosen, no consideration will be placed at if an artist have applied to other categories as well. If you are chosen for a certain category, you will need to pay the full price for the category so applying for both a Commercial and a Community table will mean you'd be ok either paying the full price of 2 500 sek or the discounted price of 849 sek.

If you link your portfolio in the form, make sure that it is publicly available and not limited in any way, otherwise we won't be able to see it and your application will not be able to be considered.

Now for some general information about Artist Alley at NärCon Vinter
Tables will be located in classrooms in corridor D floor 1 (next to the big Berzelius Panel Stage), same place as last year. Rooms are open 11-21 Thursday-Saturday. You will be able to arrive on Wednesday to set up between 14-19. You may choose if you want to pack up on Saturday after closing or Sunday. All tables are 140x60 cm.

FAQ

I want more than one table. What should I do?

Only one table per person is available at this time.

Are convention admission tickets included in the table price?

Yes! Included in each table is a full event ticket for one person.

Can I sell or give my table to someone else if I don't want to use it anymore?

No, since the table has been given to you specifically it wouldn't be fair to give or sell it to someone else.

You may cancel your ticket by emailing admin@narcon.se and we will sort out a reimbursement if there is enough time to get someone else from the reserve list.

What if I want to switch tables with someone?

If both of you contact the Artist Alley organizer and say you want to switch tables with each other, we'll of course facilitate that as long as there's plenty of time left until the event.
What if I want to share a table with a friend?You can apply to share a table. If you do, one of you will need to buy the Artist Alley ticket and the other will need to buy a regular ticket. Please note that everyone only can apply once, so you can't for example apply for your own table and also as part of someone else's table.

I want a friend to help me look after my table sometimes. Will they need their own ticket?

Yes, they just need their own ticket to the event bought at the regular Kippu Store for the event.

What can I sell?

You can sell anything you've made yourself. It can be art, books, jewelry, music or anything else. You don't necessarily need to make the physical items yourself (for example if you've written a book you don't need to be the one who printed it), it's enough that you designed them or that they are sold for the benefit of your band, youtube channel, twitch stream, webcomic or something similar. Of course you always need to have the copyright on your side. AI art in any shape or form is not allowed in the Artist Alley.
