Judges Novice/Intermediate
Thursday
Friday
"Thevenusshow is a cosplayer known for her energy on stage, her thrifted materials and her big wigs that she builds herself. When it comes to curls, she is an expert.
She loves seeing out-of-the-box ideas and gets excited when something is made with unconventional materials. She loves a good wig but thinks it’s also important to have the right silhouette, proportions and color for a cosplay."
Friday
"Tomo has been cosplaying since 2013 and has competed in cosplay craftsmanship and performance every now and then since 2014. Tomo loves tackling new techniques and challenges in cosplay creation, and she loves to get her hands on wig styling and creating performances. Outside of cosplay, Tomo loves playing video games, cooking, and singing until their voice goes hoarse."
Friday
"This cosplayer has been in the community since 2012. They have both competed and judged many competitions during various conventions in the past, and they're excited to see all the amazing cosplays of this year's NärCon.
They're active in the cosplay community, drag community and fitness community, and draw inspiration from all parts of life for their creativity and expression.
Stage presence is an important part of cosplay, even in a catwalk or pose on stage. When judging a craftsmanship-based competition, they focus on props, silhouette, shape and colour theory."
Judges Performance

Performance
Mairon
"Mairon is a Londoner now living on Gotland with his partner and Borzoi dog, Namo. He has been cosplaying since 2013 and competing at the Master level since 2023, with the NärCon Sommar stage being his favourite place to perform. His favourite materials are natural ones: leather, metal, linen, cotton, silk and wood, and if he can do something by hand instead of a machine, he will. Mairon favours competitions with a performance element, and enjoys writing skits and putting together his own carefully constructed soundtracks. And the best part of all? Those few minutes on stage where everything comes together."
Performance
Performance & Novice/Intermediate Thursday
"Dancingfauncosplay has cosplayed since 2011 and is a performer at heart. She has around 30 performances under her belt, and as a cosplayer, she loves to take her time and give each costume the love it deserves. She appreciates how creative people can be both on stage and in their cosplay making, as well as seeing the passion in each cosplayer's eyes as they step on the stage and enjoy the moment. Her motto is: 'In cosplay you should first and foremost always compete against yourself; that is when you can truly realize and appreciate how far you have come.'"
Judges Master
Master
"Jenny has been cosplaying since 2012, when she discovered the joy of sewing her own costumes. It led her down her current career path of working with theater costuming, getting her journeyman letter in ladies' tailoring, and of course making cosplays. With her keen eye for hand stitches and a good ironing, she's looking forward to seeing what everyone brings to the stage tonight."
Master
"Keksballs is a seasoned costume maker, panelist, multi-award-winning Master-level cosplayer, and experienced cosplay judge. Having judged, competed in, and placed on the podium at both Master competitions and Cosplay SM, they have a deep appreciation for the format, which not only showcases craftsmanship but also allows people to bring beloved characters to life through performance. Keksballs firmly believes that cosplay is for everyone and that there is no place for discrimination within the community."
Master
"Tokah made her very first cosplay back in 2002 and loves most crafting aspects of it, at the moment especially leatherworking and prop making. Apart from competing successfully both in Sweden and internationally, such as at ECG this year, she has also crafted costumes for the musical stage and personal commissions.
Last year, the greatest honor presented itself when a museum asked to buy her Overwatch Mariachi Reaper cosplay to preserve for the future. Who knows, maybe it will be on display in 300 years?”
Master
"Kuro Eri is a veteran cosplayer, competition enthusiast, and performing arts professional.
Besides their love for every part of the performance process, they're drawn to rare and unusual crafting techniques. And being an avid Final Fantasy fan comes with ample experience working with wigs, and translating larger-than-life ideas into reality."
Master
"HappyCosplay has been cosplaying since 2010 and has been in a lot of competitions through the years. They love working with fabric and a lot of details to bring the character to life. They love to bring a show to the stage, and now it's time to sit behind the judges' table to see what you love to bring to the stage."
Judges Nordic Cosplay Championship
Nordic Cosplay Championship
"Cat has been a cosplayer since 2009 and has competed in many different competitions throughout the years, mostly SM and NCC where she has placed 1st twice. She has also been active in exhibiting her costumes at museums and in local newspapers.
Cat sees herself as a jack of many trades and has worked with most crafts, from fabric to SFX, 3D printing, foam crafting, wig styling, and so on. Her passion, though, lies in getting the shape and silhouette right for every character she creates, and she often has to come up with very creative ways to achieve it."
Nordic Cosplay Championship
"Kizuki is a cosplayer and professional costume and props maker working in the theatre, TV, and film industries.
She is well known for her exciting range of costumes and collaborations, including working with Riot as the formidable Mel Medarda, embodying Angrboda for Santa Monica Studios, and more recently becoming a vault hunter for the release of Borderlands 4.
As a cosplay guest and judge, Kizuki has travelled all over the world, sharing her love of cosplay, gaming, and photography, and bringing her expert eye to the judging table at competitions and qualifiers. In 2025, she was selected to represent the UK at the Extreme Cosplay Gathering international finals in Paris.
Outside of cosplay, you may already have seen her costume contributions on stage in ‘Six The Musical’ or ‘Starlight Express’, or on screen in ‘Gladiator 2’, which was Oscar-nominated for Best Costume Design. So keep an eye out for her work in the upcoming ‘Supergirl’, ‘Masters of the Universe’, and ‘Avengers: Doomsday’!"
Nordic Cosplay Championship
"Vye is a multi-award-winning professional costumer and cosplayer from Melbourne, Australia, with almost 20 years of experience across a large range of disciplines in both craftsmanship and performance.
Vye is passionate about bringing characters to life through both costuming and acting, putting an emphasis on making the perceived impossible possible.
They are the first-ever Australian representative for ICL (2024), ECG (2024), ToC (2026), and PGEC (2027), and have also won numerous national cosplay competitions within their own country."
Nordic Cosplay Championship
"Tine has been cosplaying since 2009 and professionally since 2014. She has been invited to over 16 different countries to guest and judge various cosplay competitions, and has been awarded many top 3 placements in Scandinavia as a competitor.
She loves to teach and introduce people to cosplay and creativity, and holds workshops in youth clubs, cultural events, schools, festivals, and conventions, as she has done since 2014.
She has worked with big names such as Miss Iceland 2019, Riot Games, Blizzard Entertainment, Telenor, Razer, and Sharkmob for cosplay projects.
Tine is also a cosplay teacher at Buskerud Folk School, where you can study cosplay for a whole year (they also take in international students).
Other than that, Tine has a big love for armor and special effects, and can spend hours finishing the tiniest details for her projects. She is now working on her own big workshop to expand her tutorials and spread more creativity to the world."
Nordic Cosplay Championship
"Yugoro is an acclaimed international cosplayer, craftsman, and seasoned judge who has been active in the scene since 2017. Known for her epic props and multifaceted costumery, she has headlined and judged numerous events worldwide. From being a global finalist for CD Projekt RED to representing the Baltic region on major stages like in the US (Cosplay Central Crown Championship) and South Korea (GICOF), Yugoro is a well-recognized figure in the global cosplay community who is equally celebrated for her top-tier craftsmanship and her hilariously chaotic, witty content."
Nordic Cosplay Championship
"Diana ‘Binkxy’ Tolin has been an award-winning cosplayer and member of the anime/pop culture industry for 30 years. She has worked with some of the largest companies and conventions in the world, including Marvel Entertainment, Nintendo of America, Square Enix, Aniplex, Anime Expo, and the World Cosplay Summit.
Diana has represented, and is the current organizer of, the World Cosplay Summit USA, and works directly with WCS Inc. as a member of their staff, using her knowledge of the international cosplay community to support cosplayers from around the world. She has brought multiple international cosplay events to the United States and, as the Director of Cosplay at Holiday Matsuri, has helped to develop the Winter Cosplay Championship, the largest qualifier for international cosplay events in the United States.
In addition to her work as a showrunner, she has been a guest curator and speaker for the world of cosplay, and has worked with the Japan Foundation New York and the Japan Information and Cultural Center, Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C. It is her pleasure to be a part of the NCC judging panel for 2026!"
