    Anyone can show off their unique talent!

    Open Stage at NärCon Sommar is where we provide you with the opportunity to perform
    pretty much any kind of act that you want - it could be singing a song or playing an
    instrument, making a short sketch or live comedy, reading a poem you wrote or perhaps showing off a unique talent!

    No competition

    Open Stage at NärCon beckons the flexibility and freedom of the open stage and open poetry slam tradition that keeps creativity flowing all over the world. This also means that this is not a competition - there are no prizes and no jury, we simply want you and the audience to have a good time.

    About the competition

    We welcome you to the Main Stage where Open Show will be held at NärCon Sommar 2023! It is a show where any act is allowed, no judging but lots of love.

    • When: Thursday July 27, 16:00–17:00
    • Performance length: Max. 5 minutes.
    • Members: Minimum 1 member.
    • Cost: Free to enter, but every member of the group needs to have a valid ticket to NärCon Sommar 2023 (day passes for the day of competition are valid).

    For example you could:

    • Do a cosplay sketch
    • Sing a song / Perform karaoke
    • Dance!
    • Perform stand-up and make the audience laugh
    • Juggle
    • All of the above, and more!

    Signing up and participating

    Any act who wants to participate applies by filling in this form. No previous experience in stage performance is required. All information must have been submitted before June 29. The first acts who have sent in all the necessary information will be the ones who are selected for the show, first come first serve.

     

    Preliminary Schedule: Thursday July 27

    • Dress Rehearsal: 14:30–15:30
    • Show: 16:00–17:00

      For your act you will be able to have:

      • Microphone(s)
      • Backing music/sounds
      • Your own props on stage
      • Borrow tables and/or chairs
      • Video on our LED-screen: Music video, your own animation or pictures/graphics played.
      Just imagine what you want to do and ask us, we will do our best!

      The form shall contain the following information:

      Fill in this form with primarily the following information before June 29:

      • The name of you and/or your group
      • Contact information
      • A description of your planned performance.
      • Links to any material that you will use
      • What you need from us
